Lady in Red

Hello darlings! Hope you had an amazing weekend? Mine was full of activities. If you follow me on Twitter and Instagram you'd have seen picture updates of my weekend. My friends and I participated in a 5K run/walk to support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network in its effort to double pancreatic cancer survival rates by 2020. To learn more, click HERE. I also went hiking at the Great falls which was very serene and beautiful. I enjoy outdoor activities and now that the weather permits, it is good to be out again.

These pictures are actually a few weeks old, I entrusted a friend in taking pictures with his camera which he did, however, because we were both always busy it took eternity to get it from him. Therefore, if you notice tone variation in the pictures below, you know who to blame wink!

As for my ensemble, I wore this to a friends surprise birthday party I co-hosted. It was loads of fun and I got to eat my favorite; Georgetown cupcakes. Oh the decadent!
I like the effect of softening a bold red with soft pink, it makes you stand out and reserved at the same time. This dress is so mature in nature that I wanted to add a little girly character with the pink clutch and my soft blush shoes. I love how it all came together, don't you agree? What are your thoughts on pairing red with pink?
