The Bahamas: Coco Cay

Hello darlings! My friend and I also visited Coco Cay while in the Bahamas. The Island is less than a mile wide from east to west and less than 200 yards from north to south. Pretty small right?

Bahamians practice a tradition known as "bush medicine" which is simply treating ailments with surrounding plants. For this reason, most Bahamians possess great knowledge about their local plant life.
We figured it would be fun to go on a nature trail while learning all about the beautiful foliage Coco Cay has to offer.

The "Lignum Vitae" or "tree of life" pictured below is the national tree of the Bahamas. The Yellow Elder is the national flower, the Flamingo the national bird and Blue Marlin is the national fish.
An inactive Ant hill.

The leaves from the "Love Vine" tree is used to improve potency in Men.
After the nature trail, my friend and I headed to a private beach on the Island to soak up some sun.
