The Bahamas: Nassau

Hello darlings! Here is photo diary part one from my recent trip to colorful Nassau. Stay tuned for the second segment. My decision to go to Nassau was on a moments whim, thank godness for willing friends. We felt like we should be at the beach, so we planned this trip in a day and before we knew it, we were packing to leave a few days later.

Nassau is the capital and largest city in the Bahamas; where 70 percent of the entire Bahamian population lives. I toured most of the city in a day while visiting landmarks such as: Paradise Island, Atlantis, Fort Fincastle, Fort Charlotte, Queen's staircase, the International Bazaar and Bay street.

The Bahamas is made up of a chain of more than 700 islands and the official language is English.

The currency used is the Bahamian dollars but US dollars is also widely accepted.
